| Hosting Committee seeks Trumpet Girls for Seventh Degree Conferral |
April 2008 -
The Hosting Committee is seeking women from the Northeast Region to participate as Trumpet Girls in the Seventh Degree Conferral at 142nd National Grange Convention to be held this November 11-15, in Connecticut. Fourteen total girls are needed -- nine girls plus four alternates. The Hosting Committee is asking that two girls represent each state of the region (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont).

| National Master visits Connecticut in preparation for Convention |
March 2008 -
National Master Ed Luttrell and National Convention Coordinator Margaret Maxwell visited Connecticut in early March to begin finalizing arrangements for the upcoming convention in Connecticut. Their day began with a tour of the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell, where they toured the hotel and began planning where the various events and activities of the convention will be held.

Your Connecticut Hosting Committee has raised $32,000.00 but we still need your help! You know your state will do an awesome job hosting the National Grange Convention in 2008. We have most of the Chairmen for the many committees needed to host National in place. We do, however, need many more volunteers and a lot more money!
